I grew up actively involved in a fantastic United Methodist Church music program where I had the opportunity to sing in multiple choirs, accompany the youth choir & go on tour with a most fabulous hand-bell choir.  I was also involved in High School Band – primarily playing clarinet, but also spending a year of marching band as a saxophone player and two years lugging around a tuba! Although I didn’t originally head to college to major in music, that is where I ended up – studying voice, organ and piano.  In 1991, I graduated with honors from Asbury University in Wilmore, KY – and fresh out of college began to serve at JUMC as Children’s Choir Director.  It was a very small part-time position – something fantastic to do while I looked for a “real” job.  But, I soon fell in love with Johnson and its people and 21 years later –  I still haven’t gotten around to that “real” job.  God has been good!

I grew up very active in the United Methodist Church where I participated in choirs and Sunday School. At the church I am currently attending I am a member of our Children’s Activity Team, sing in the choir and work in the nursery.  I have spent the last 15 years working in Cardiology as a cardiovascular Tech, and now I get to do something else I enjoy.  I feel very fortunate to be part of this wonderful church.
