Previously, JUMC has conducted two sessions of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University (FPU).  As a well-known author, radio talkshow host and host of Fox Business Channel's Dave Ramsey show, Dave walks each of us through the steps to having Financial Peace and becoming debt free.  Imagine what you can do for God and your family by becoming debt free and having Financial Peace!

According to Dave, there are seven tips for financial peace:

1. Put $1000 in an emergency fund

2. Pay off all debt with the debt snowball

3. Put 3-6 months worth of expenses in savings

4. Invest 15% of income for retirement

5. Begin college funding

6. Pay off your home early

7. Build wealth and give!

Each of the three groups that have participated in FPU have made terrific strides to becoming debt free and changing their family tree!  According to Dave's statistics, the average family participating in FPU has paid off $5300 in debt and saved $2700 just during the 13 week session!
