Pastor Tal continues his series based on our Vision Statement: "Share"

It’s Apple Dumpling time! Help us make them on Saturday Sept 5 from 8am - 12pm. Call Jan DeVault with any questions, 330-825-3459.

"Wrapping All the Way", our Christmas Musical, practices will begin this Wednesday from 6 -7:30 pm (supper included). All kids, grades K-6th are invited to participate! Our Wednesday Night 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Group will begin again this week at 6-7:30pm (dinner included).

Beginning Wednesday, Healthy Attitudes Small Group here at JUMC. We will study the book “Made to Crave” by Lisa TerKeurst & practice some “brave yoga” together led by Certified Yoga Instructor, Mim Daniel. (We will be collecting free-will donations for the yoga portion of the class).

Family Game Night, Saturday, September 12, 6-10pm. Please bring a drink/snack to share. Mark your calendars and come join the fun!

Johnson 55-Alive will attend the Wayne County fair in Wooster on Wednesday, Sept. 16th. Meet in the church parking lot @ 9:50am. Harness Racing at noon. We will be eating lunch at the Fair. Call Bob Critchfield @ 330-925-7550 for Reservations.

Confirmation Classes will begin on Sunday, Sept. 20 @ 7:00 pm. For information please call the Ministry Office ASAP, 330-825-7886.

New Membership Classes Class 101 will be held on 9/27, 10/11 & 10/25. Class 201 will be held on 11/1, 11/15 & 11/29. Please let us know you're interested by noting it on the bulletin tear-off sheet or call the Ministry Office, 330-825-7886,

JUMC “Extra-Hands” – This is a group of our men who are starting a service to assist those from the church who may not be physically or mentally strong & need assistance to perform odd jobs, maintenance, etc. If you need help with something or know someone who does, please mark your tear-off. Please make sure you include your name & phone number. Someone from the group will call you to schedule a time.

Next Fish and Chicken Fry is Friday, September 4th, 4:30-6:30p. - $8 for adults, $4 children (3-10) - Includes Coleslaw or Apple Sauce, Baked Potato, French Fries or Mac & Cheese, Green Beans, Bread, Coffee, Tea or Lemonade, ALL THE FISH YOU CAN EAT and Chicken Strips. Also available for an additional $1 - slice of pie (while they last!). Fish Fries support Missions and our Youth.

Red Cross Blood Drive is Monday, September 21st, 1-6 pm. Blood donors and cookies are needed. Any extra cookies are used for the children's and youth dinner on Wednesday the 23rd.

Barberton Area Community Ministries - August’s donation is Macaroni and Cheese. Place donations in foyer grocery cart.

Giving Tree - We are collecting school supplies and clothing for those less fortunate within our community. Fliers with a list of what supplies are needed are on the table by the Giving Tree.

2nd Mile Offering Gifts: Last week we collected $198.92 for UM Shared Askings. THANK YOU! Today's collection goes to Barberton Area Community Ministries. Next weeks offering will go the Habitat for Humanity.
